Artistic Contest "From the Vine to the Bike"

Artistic Contest "From the Vine to the Bike"

The Tour de France will stop in Saint-Emilion for a Libourne/Saint-Emilion time trial on July 17th, 2021! On this occasion, the Saint-Emilion Wines are organizing an artistic contest "From the Vine to the Bike".
The principle is simple: participants will have to use their creativity to create a work of art (1-meter-high minimum) linked to the Tour de France using objects linked to wine growing. Whether you are an amateur or a professional artist, you can register with the Saint-Emilion Wine Council (at christelle.forestier@vins-saint-emilion.com) until 26 May 2021 and send a photo and a description of your work. Show your imagination!
"With this artistic contest, we want to create a strong link between the wines of Saint-Emilion and the Tour de France, while associating art to give rise to superb creations around this major sporting event which is broadcast in 190 countries around the world,"
Jean-François Galhaud
President

A selection on social networks

From 26 May onwards, 20 works of art (10 amateurs and 10 professionals) will be selected on the basis of the photos received and their descriptions.
The photos will then be put online on Facebook and Instagram for our followers to vote and elect 5 pieces of art in each category (a total of 10) which will be exhibited from 14 to 18 July in Saint-Emilion. This exhibition will be a real opportunity because this weekend will not only be marked by the arrival of the Tour de France in Saint-Emilion but also by numerous events throughout the city: wine bars, open doors of the châteaux, animated tastings at wine shops and restaurants, parades and shows of the Jurade and many others...
