If François Baroin enjoys tasting a Saint Emilion wine, he is also sensitive to the verb, the words around the time of sharing: “I discovered these wines with passion because I had the chance to be accompanied by exceptional personalities”, he says, before continuing, “People who have such a vocabulary, such passion and know-how to give it such a real good time, those are the lighter moments in a political career”. The senator of Aube also says he was moved by these “Stories, often familial, which are transmitted with passion and wisdom”. And François Baroin salutes the vitality of the “New generation of winemakers, who has arrived and is taking shape. This was not the case 10 or 15 years ago. This generation wants a comeback, it’s full of hope”, he says..
BEST MEMORY OF TASTING WINES OF SAINT-EMILION
Wine enthusiast, François Baroin, shows his admiration for Saint-Emilion appellations, the wines can be appreciated young or after years of aging: “It’s really quite a wonderful product, it is something virtual and on the moment. It’s like a celebration, July 14th and at the same time it is long lasting”, he says. His best memory of tasting? It was the same day of his induction to the Jurade Saint-Emilion: a wine of 2000, a Saint-Emilion vintage known for its complexity, concentration and its elegance. “It was absolutely outstanding, exemplary and this will remain a forever memory”, adds François Baroin.
