Château de Pressac is one of the large properties of Saint-Emilion (40 hectares of vines) with a historic past (it was at Château de Pressac that the surrender of the Battle of Castillon took place which ended the Hundred Years' War in July 1453).The Castle was completely rebuilt in the 19th century on the foundations of the old Medieval Castle.
The property was bought in 1997 by Jean-François and Dominique Quenin who undertook major renovation work, both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
The property has since been promoted to Grand Cru Classé.
