The Luxembourger Claude François may not be a singer like his famous namesake, but he can also boast of being a great artist: at least a juggler. He handles his various hats with flying colors! The journalist, the communicator and the importer, are all here to tell us about Saint-Emilion.
SAINT-EMILION IN LUXEMBOURG
Certainly, Luxembourg is a country small in size but it is great for its love of Saint-Emilion wines: “Saint-Emilion wines have been known for ages! There are some very passionate fans in Luxembourg!” assures Claude François. “They are not necessarily collectors, but they are fierce and regular fans”, says the importer.
A LUXEMBOURG JOURNALIST JOINS THE SAINT-EMILION JURADE
But with his journalistic hat he received the news of his induction to the Saint-Emilion Jurade. “It is an honor, since with my job as a journalist, I’ve been visiting the Saint-Emilion region regularly for many years”. What he likes in the village of Saint-Emilion, it is the welcome he receives and that everyone gets.
“Everyone really help journalists fulfill their duties, do their job, and believe me, this is not necessarily the case everywhere else!”
MANY TRADES, ONLY ONE LANGUAGE
If Claude François has diversified his professional career, he has nonetheless remained true to his passion for wine. This is true when he speaks about it with obvious pleasure. “Saint-Emilion wines are very flexible and in principle they have less alcohol than other wines”. He knows and even tells us what makes Luxembourg so fond of our wines: “what pleases, it is the special assembly of Saint-Emilion, the taste of the fruit, a sweet and accessible wine”. And as if countless professions were not enough, Claude François is also a poet, “Saint-Emilion wines are built with some soul”. Well said!
