Whether it be in music or wine, Peter Polansky, austrian, loves perfect timing. Programme Director and Press & Marketing Manager of “Jazz im Konzerthaus” in Vienna, this esthete believes that “music and good wine are alike”. In a wine cellar in Saint-Émilion, driven by a pleasant moment, Peter Polansky improvized “structure, balance, history, all this brings jazz and wine together.
He continues: “The sense of rhythm is important for a musician, especially if it’s jazz music. To create a great wine, recognizing the right timing is also important. To succeed, it must be neither too early nor too late.”
Fascinated by the work of Saint-Émilion winemakers, Peter Polansky was inducted by the Jurade during the 2013 Saint-Emilion Jazz Festival. This music lover became an enthusiast wine ambassador: “In Saint-Émilion, I only tasted really unique wines, it has exceeded my imagination!”
