Passionate about cooking and French wines, Wilson Kwok tells us about his deep attachment to Saint-Emilion wines.
SAINT-EMILION WINES, A FRIENDSHIP STORY
For Wilson Kwok, the discovery of Saint-Emilion wines is a meetings story. A student in Bordeaux, Wilson Kwok obtained a DUAD degree (Diplôme Universitaire d’Aptitude à la Dégustation). Thanks to a friendship bond he built with a Saint-Emilion family, the Manoncourt, Wilson Kwok even had the chance to train in a Saint-Emilion property. The enthusiast took this opportunity to develop his taste for those wines that have a “spicy and harmonious” character.
AMBASSADOR OF SAINT-EMILION WINES
A dear friend to Saint-Emilion wines, Wilson Kwok officially entered the family when the Saint-Emilion Jurade inducted him. Owner of the W’s Entrecôte restaurant, Wilson Kwok insists that Saint-Emilion wines are “amazing with many cuisines”. “Elegant and balanced”, the Saint-Emilion wines will know perfectly well how to accompany Asian cuisine, he explains. To step off the beaten path, Wilson Kwok also recommends pairing Saint-Emilion wines with fish. His tip to make this audacious pairing work? Cook the fish in “a red wine sauce”. Let’s try!
