In September 2019, Sean and Suzanne Legault, Maltese/Canadian couple, bought the 7 hectares of Château Haut Bernat, in Aop Puis Puis Saint-Emilion.Sean works in education and hotels.Passionate about wines and diversity of terroirs, he wishes to continue the development of this vintage started for thirty years. With the same technical team and Thomas Duclot as a consultant, he invests in vines (replants) as well as in cellars (Italian amphorae, small wooden thunderbolts) thus starting a change and the development of silky wines, fine and elegant. The range widens with a cuvée limited to 1200 to 3000 bottles according to the vintage, from the oldest plots of the vineyards, it is already appreciated by the international press. In 2019, the property was HVE 3 certified and labeled Bee Friendly in 2020. We continue our commitment to sustainable wine practices in order to obtain Terra Vitis certification.
