16 hectares 80% clay 20% clay/limestone/sand 95% Merlot 5% Cabernet Sauvignon Located on the heights of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, the vineyard is part of the Saint-Emilion appellation.It benefits from the ocean and temperate microclimate of the region, very favorable to wine culture. The vines of the field were planted in 1945. The exceptionally high rate of clay in the composition of its land promotes the absorption of minerals and nutrients by the plant, allowing the obtaining of a particularly fruity balanced wine. The Merlot, renowned for the roundness, the structure, the intensity and the richness of the fruit it brings, coupled to the Cabernet-Sauvignon which strengthens complexity and structured character, offers a balanced wine, both very round, structuredand fruity.

Château Marrin is above all a family of winegrowers.Robert Chêne, José Demur, René Chêne, Henriette Chêne, Françoise Chêne, and many others ... These people are my ancestors.They worked the land from daybreak at nightfall, they made wine, crossed wars, with the ambition to build something solid, they did not give up. Today, the methods and the technique have changed, but the soul of the Marrin is always the same. I am proud to have in my hands the realization of the work of my family, the result of working hours and passion.

Guided tour hosted by the winemaker.Explanation of methods adapted to neophytes as well as enlightened amateurs.Only by appointment. Tasting of several vintages accompanied by cheeses and dried fruits. Alcohol -free drinks available. Only by appointment. All this is free! Maximum capacity 10 people.
