Former Templar Domaine, would take its name from the monks soldiers. Implementation of that n ° 47 called "Les Landes" of the Abbey of Grandmont on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela. The order disappears by itself a little before the French Revolution. The historic site - certainly a small chapel - was looted and the building burned at the end of the Hundred Years War. The building was removed from the roads and villages according to the precepts of the order. The location chosen was on the vestiges of summer camps of the nomads of the moustérien. These are a few hectares of sweet sloping vines today to the north on a ground fairly clay for this site and a little more sablo-bit for the other plots. The Merlot is dominant, surrounded by Cabernets Francs and Sauvignons as well as Cot (Malbec). The name "Clos des Moines" appeared for the first time in the wine sales registers in 1874. It is today a family property exploited for 4 generations.
