Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion since 2022, Château Badette marks the rebirth of a terroir already praised in the 19th century for the finesse of its wines.Taken over in 2008 by the Vandenbogaerde family, the estate quickly regained its status thanks to an ambitious restructuring.The 10.5 hectare vineyard, mainly planted with Merlot, is based on a mosaic of soils which brings power, depth and elegance.“Badette is surrounded by classified growths, I want the wine to express the terroir, with power but also elegance, finesse”, Marc Vandenbogaerde.Certified High Environmental Value, the estate places biodiversity at the heart of its philosophy.The wines are distinguished by their aromatic intensity, balance and length, embodying the identity of a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion.

Like a modern variation of Château Badette, Fleur de Badette is made from the oldest vines in the Badette sector.Vinified more on the fruit, this second wine can be drunk younger.However, it offers a 10-year storage period. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are used to create this powerful wine offering a beautiful balance between tannins and acidity.
