“When tea and wine civilizations come together” is the name of the exhibition which will open on 9th December, 2016, at the National Museum of Pu’Er tea (China). A beautiful way to celebrate everything that brings together Pu’Er teas and the Saint-Emilion-Pomerol-Fronsac wines: the concept of terroir, millennia of histories and a tasting that’s become an art.
PU’ER TEAS AND THE SAINT-EMILION – POMEROL – FRONSAC WINES, AN INTERCONNECTED UNIVERSE
If the Saint-Emilion-Pomerol-Fronsac wines are exhibited in the tea museum in Pu’Er, it is because tea and wine have much in common. We think of searching for the best terroirs and the fermentation of the tea leaves and grapes. The expertise in aging also comes to mind, and the art of tasting. As for Pu’Er tea, the outcome of tasting the Saint-Emilion – Pomerol – Fronsac wines is the revelation of their aromatic richness. After a highly precise preparation, the aroma of tea and wine take on their full dimension to the nose and palate, with power and subtlety.
AN EDUCATIONAL COURSE ON THE SAINT-EMILION – POMEROL – FRONSAC WINES
To better understand the specified Saint Emilion – Pomerol – Fronsac wines and links with tea, visitors to the Pu’Er tea museum can stroll through a 300 m2 exhibition. This will address, in an educational way, the vegetative cycle of vines, the terroirs, the grape varieties, the production methods and the wine tasting. Light will also be thrown on the brotherhoods of Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol and Fronsac, the Unesco classification of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion and the Cité du Vin de Bordeaux. Each stage will be compared with the Pu’Er tea.
“ When tea and wine civilizations come together ” is a new chapter in the story the two cities of Libourne and Pu’Er are writing together, from the start of their twinning in 2012.
At the inauguration of this exhibition, there will be the “wine tour” the highlight of which will lead the Saint-Emilion-Pomerol-Fronsac wines to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Pu’Er in December.
