ENJOY WINE WITH MUSIC AT THE ‘APÉRO-CONCERTS’
After working for several years in the Bordeaux cultural scene, Marc Lassegues was anxious to “come up with something that is true to his image”. For the Saint-Emilion Portes Ouvertes, he has come up with the idea of organizing ‘apéro-concerts’ on his estate. Throughout the weekend, “a fanfare of a brass percussion band” will play in the wine bar area, where visitors can discover Château La Fleur Picon Saint-Emilion wines, as well as wines from other regions of France and some foreign wines selected for the occasion.
PARTICIPATE IN A FRIENDLY AND FESTIVE EVENT
“I wanted to enjoy myself, to do something quite festive with my musician friends”, says Marc Lassegues. The Saint-Emilion Portes Ouvertes offer the opportunity to him, “to get out of the winemaker role” and “to create a friendly event where people smile and spend a celebratory moment”. For this former entertainment worker, the key is all about “creating a warm atmosphere where the estate opens its doors so that there is no more a barrier between the producer and the consumer”.
Since 2004, music lover Marc Lassegues has been managing the small family estate of Château Fleur Picon. These days, it is the 9th generation that continues “this land-lover work “. He primarily sees himself as a taste artisan: “When I took over from my parents, I was taught to work the vineyard and work the wine, to make the best products”. From this patient approach, which aims to “achieve an aroma both respectful of the fruit and the little spicy touch brought by the wood” the “round and elegant” wines are born.
