SAINT-EMILION WINES AND THE ENVIRONMENT

For several years, the Puisseguin Lussac Saint-Emilion wine coopertaive has been interested in protecting the environment. For the 2017 edition of the Saint-Emilion Portes Ouvertes, some cooperative winemakers will present their commitments to you. For example, you can learn more about the use of electric vehicles, the setting-up of insect hotels, the laying of tit nesting boxes or installation of hives for bees. More technical but presented in a didactic way, you will find information on the many certifications related to the quality of the environment.

During the three days, you will also learn useful actions. You will be invited to participate in recycling workshops, to know what to do with your old stuff. You will test electric bikes and visit an exhibition of hybrid and electric vehicles. On the theme of viticulture, the artisans will exhibit their works, such as furniture made from barrels or recycled materials. You will also discover the innovations in photovoltaic energyor the alternatives to phytosanitary products in your gardens.
