In 1987, after a catastrophic year in Bordeaux, Monique Ardouin, then at the head of the Château l'Epine, decided not to produce Château l'Epine in view of the lack of concentration of grapes. On the other hand, she notes that the wine is still round and very fruity and that it should appreciate from an early age.She therefore decides to call it the Bleuets in the blink of an eye to the flower which once pushed in the park of the old manor in front of the estate. Here is how the first vintage of the Bleuets was born. It was then in the 90s that it will become a full-fledged vintage in the estate.Today, the little brother of the Château l'Epine is a 100% less tannic Merlot and fresher than its elder. Thanks in particular to his flexibility and his roundness, he appreciates young and does not need to age for many years in the cellar to suggest his generosity. He is the ideal partner of long summer evenings.
