SAINT-EMILION HONOURED WITH THE 2020 BEST OF WINE TOURISM AWARD
This week at the Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux, an exceptional event took place: a gala dinner to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Great Wine Capitals network.
Twenty-two Bordeaux locations were recognised, including five in Saint-Emilion !
The Best of Wine Tourism trophies are the world’s oldest international competition in the field of wine tourism. The recognition of these labels translates to significant tourism! The Gironde department attracts 4.3 million tourists every year! This is proof enough of the appeal of Bordeaux vineyards.
Out of the 86 applications received for Bordeaux, 22 locations were granted a “Best Of” award, including the “Golden Best Of” in each category.
In Saint-Emilion region ,the Cordeliers Cloister, Château Tour Saint-Christophe, Château de Ferrand, Château la Dominique and the Yello! Saint-Emilion Campsite won several awards.
THE 2020 WINNERS IN BORDEAUX
ARCHITECTURE & LANDSCAPING PRIZE: The Cordeliers Cloister (Golden Best Of), Château de Camarsac and Château Tour Saint-Christophe.
ART & CULTURE PRIZE: Château Malromé (Golden Best Of), Château de Ferrand and Château la Dominique.
DISCOVERY & INNOVATION PRIZE: Château la Dauphine (Golden Best Of), Château de Reignac, Château Seguin and Château la Tour Blanche.
ON-ESTATE LODGING PRIZE: Château Pont Saint-Martin (Golden Best Of), Château Malescasse and Château Pape-Clément.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES PRIZE: Vignerons de Tutiac (Golden Best Of), Château Angludet and Château d’Eyran.
WINE TOURISM SERVICES PRIZE: Château Larrivet Haut Brion (Golden Best Of) (congratulations to Juliette Hirschy, for her involvement in the tours this summer), Yello! Saint-Emilion Campsite and Tendance Sud.
ON-ESTATE DINING PRIZE: Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey (Golden Best Of) and Château Malartic-Lagravière.
The Favourite Prize was awarded to Château La Fleur de Boüard.
