DURING THE HOLIDAYS, THE MAISON DU VIN DE SAINT-EMILION INCREASES THE PACE OF ITS TASTING INITIATIONS.
During the holidays, the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion increases the pace of its tasting initiations. From 16th July to 28th August 2016, discover these wines every day during the Summer sessions, to be held in French and English.

LEARN TO ENJOY THE SAINT-EMILION WINES
Are you visiting Saint-Emilion and dream to learn more about the four appellation? Meet at the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion! The Saint-Emilion wines range also has an Ecole du vin and its professional wine tasting room. During 1h30m sessions, you can learn about the Saint-Emilion in all their dimensions:
“The goal is to better understand the practice of tasting and learn about the Saint-Emilion wines on a geographical (terroirs and grape varieties) and historical level. Even people who know nothing about it can attend these initiations”. Bruno Dumery, Director of the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion.
You will discover for example, the microclimate of Saint-Emilion, the wine classification revised every ten years or the three stages of tasting (sight, nose and mouth). All sessions will be held in French and English.
SAINT-EMILION: ACCESSIBLE WINES
To carry out these Summer sessions, 8 trainers will succeed each other: agronomists, oenologists, holders of DUAD (university degree in tasting aptitude) and tour guides. “The idea is that it has to be fun. We can be on prestigious appellations while remaining very affordable”, says Frédérick Breysse, one of the trainers. An opportunity also to go beyond conventional wisdom. The Saint-Emilion wines are keeping wines, but not only that:

Each session will conclude with a tasting of two wines. The first will be a satellite of Saint-Emilion (Puisseguin Saint-Emilion or Lussac Saint-Emilion). The second wine will be a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.
