Concerts

Sunday June 30th “Robyn Bennett”

A stage was be set up in the heart of the moat of the Palais Cardinal and was host two free concerts on SUNDAY 30 JUNE, presented by the Saint-Émilion Jazz Festival.

Robyn Bennett - Facebook

Like the music she sings, writes and composes, Robyn Bennett is a burst of joy on a sensitivity that is as sensitive as the skin itself. In the tradition of the great American voices, the beautiful redhead radiates contagious music, heady melodies, simple and touching poetry. An exceptional voice, a powerful and sensual timbre.

Her new album "Glow" is declined in twelve tracks with unstoppable efficiency and instinctive groove. In this musical journey to the borders of jazz, swing and soul, Robyn manages to renew the genre with finesse and modernity.

Musicians : Robyn Bennett (voice), Ben Van Hille (trombone), Eric Delval (guitar), Xavier Sibre (saxophone), Gino Chantoiseau (double bass), Stan Augris (drums) et Laurian Daire (keyboards)

On stage, he affirms his sound identity and deepens his groove in a style that is unique to him, anxious not to stick to all the clichés of the genre.

“Tétrodon” Project

The "tétrodon" project was developed by Jacques Berce and Henri Ciriani of the AAU (Bordeaux).

They offer a modular housing based on a 30-foot container whose volume is increased using polyester shells. After several prototypes from 1970 onwards, tetrodons switched to mass production, but in 1973, the first oil shock and its impact on petrochemical-based products put an end to tetrodons, whose total production had reached a small number of thousands, most of which had disappeared. There are a few examples in Darwin (Bordeaux) and one in the Bouches-du-Rhône, which was awarded the "Heritage of the 20th Century" label in 2012.

The copy saved by the Biotope Festival association in order to preserve one of these copies constituting a Gironde heritage is installed in the palus of Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens on private land in order to propose a Biodiversity Observatory.

Located in a wetland area characterized by a great wealth of fauna and flora, it will become a base site for walks to discover the fauna and flora. Fauna and flora are recorded within its walls via educational panels. Its equipment allows night observations to be made. Inside access is only by appointment at the Biotope Festival.
