"The verdict is in the glass... it's magic!"
The vines of Château La Couspaude stretch out to the north-east of the village, 400 metres from the Monolithic church. This 7-hectare property is entirely enclosed by walls, making it possible to distinguish the oldest vintages in the village. It is magnificently situated on the heights of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau.
Château La Couspaude is a family estate, where the members of the family live and work. This duality gives the property a human dimension that is an asset when it comes to entertaining our guests.
The Château has underground cellars beneath the 900m² paved courtyard.
On average, the vines on the estate are around fifty years old.
The grape varieties reflect the history of the estate, with a majority of Merlot (75%) complemented by Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%).
All these components, combined with its homogeneity (7ha in a single block), result in a balance that is expressed in the wines.
Château La Couspaude goes perfectly with veal mignon with truffles.
It's illegal to ban at La Couspaude!
