Back to the Coupe des Crus 2022 !
The Coupe des Crus de Saint-Emilion 2022 was held on January 31, 2022 at the Palais de la Bourse in Bordeaux. It allowed to designate 24 new Favorites of Saint-Emilion which will be honored throughout the year.
The 2022 winners
The principle is simple. A jury composed of wine professionals and enlightened amateurs taste more than 100 wines. They compete blind, two by two, on 3 vintages (2014, 2016 and 2018) and by category: Lussac Saint-Emilion, Puisseguin Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé. The most regular vintage wins the match and moves on to the next stage.
At the end of nearly 100 matches, 24 Favorites have been designated.
