Discover the wines of Saint-Émilion at the Salon Dégustation!
Would you like to introduce yourself to wine tasting or deepen your knowledge of the Saint-Emilion wines? Do not wait any longer and reserve your tickets for the new Tasting Lounge of the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion. You can follow one of the four modules offered by a sommelier in an atmosphere that encourages exchanges.
THE SAINT-EMILION WINES SHOULD BE TASTED "LIKE YOU WOULD AT HOME"
At the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion, we greet you “like in our home“! Take place in the Tasting Lounge and let yourself be guided by the sommelier trainer. The convivial and fun atmosphere will allow you to cut short the apprehensions and to “break the barriers” during the tasting.
“We must desacralize the image that people have of wine and particularly Saint-Emilion wines. I give them some tips so that they can taste as if they were at home as well as some technical notes. They can then put words to their sensations”.

It is therefore in the cozy atmosphere of the Tasting Lounge that you will learn that the Saint-Emilion terroir is composed of a mosaic of soils. Exceptional terroirs that make the wines of four appellations: Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Lussac Saint-Emilion and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion. Beyond the geographical or historical explanations, a great part of the modules is dedicated to the tasting experience and the exchanges between participants.

THE FOUR MODULES OFFERED AT THE TASTING LOUNGE
In the Tasting Lounge, you can choose between four modules lasting from 40 minutes to 1 hour:
- The discovery module:
an introduction to the Saint-Emilion wines through history, grape varieties and terroirs. Three wines are tasted to savor the diversity of the vineyard.
- The Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Emilion module:
this module is a unique opportunity to taste four grands crus classés and discover the famous ranking.
- The terroirs module:
three wines from three different terroirs from Saint-Emilion are offered to participants. A great opportunity to understand the influence of the terroir in the making of a wine.
- Blind tasting module:
what if we closed our eyes to awaken other senses? An amazing experience with three wines from the Saint-Emilion appellations.
During each module, Frédéric Breysse will guide you step by step: “I want to convey my passion for wine“, he smiles. The novices will learn the basics of the tasting of Saint-Emilion wines. Advanced tasters will be able to deepen their knowledge of the four appellations. Do not hesitate to come alone, as a couple or with friends. The Tasting Lounge of the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion welcomes you all year round!
