Originally from Cordoba in Argentina, Minino Garay is a life and music lover.
Living in Paris since age 24, this talented percussionist played with the greatest jazz musicians. Minino Garay admits a passion for France. In 2013, he returned for the second time at the Saint-EmilionJazz Festival, after having accompanied Dee Dee Bridgewater, the previous year.
For him, « the idea of a jazz festival in Saint-Emilion is great! » and even « if there are already some festivals that mix wine and jazz… It’s the first time that it’s done in the Mecca of Wine. The village and the Saint-Emilion wines are known worldwide… ».
While listening to Minino Garay’s words, we understand the analogy between wine and music. « Wine is an art! » he says. « To know how to make wine issomething artistic… The relation to the vine, the creation time, the mixture, taste, air, silence, it’s an art. Saint-Emilion wines are a pure product, music is also pure. Music is here and then disappears and with wine it’s the same! ».
A mix of poetry, passion and frenzied rythms, Minino Garay’s personality is mesmerizing… a bit like Saint-Emilion wines!
