Its General Director, Yan Vacher, is a fine connoisseur of Saint-Emilion wines. Moreover, it’s a passion he likes to share.
SAINT-EMILION, A CHILDHOOD MEMORY
The connection Yan Vacher has with the Saint-Emilion wines goes back to his very first years: “as a small child, I remember strolling with my grandfather amongst Saint-Emilion properties”. His passion has not waned over the years it even got stronger. It is the fruit of a strong attachment not only for the village “which benefits from an exceptional heritage”, but also for those wines “which are full-bodied and round but also have their own temper”. For Yan Vacher, it is inconceivable to consider enjoying this pleasure alone: “the concept of sharing is fundamental”.
MAKING SAINT-EMILION WINES KNOWN
In his property, Yan Vacher welcomes many customers who want to try Saint-Emilion wines. “We have set up a Wine Concierge Serviceconcept, which offers tailor-made excursions on wine estates”. The participants can meet wine makers, they have a know-how that the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux General Director has a high esteem for: “one must know how to weather the storm, it’s a job with many vagaries”. Yan Vacher, forever passionate, plays with great pleasure a part of ambassador, for wines so precious to him.
