FIND THE SAINT-EMILION WINES DURING THE 2016 SAINT-EMILION WINE TRIP.

Ascension Thursday was a day of celebration in Guebwiller. For the 2016 wine fair, the Saint-Emilion wines were the guests of honor. Four winemakers, a sommelier and some representatives of the Saint-Emilion wines came on board the truck to let people (re)discover their prestigious appellations.

ON THE ROAD WITH THE SAINT-EMILION WINE TRIP

The Guebwiller wine fair is one of the 17 stops of the Saint-Emilion Wine Trip. Set in the heart of the fair, the red truck immediately found its place among the stands of the Alsace white wines. Two colors for the same tasting pleasure.

“The concept of the Wine trip is really to go out to meet people and make them taste the full range of the terroir: the Lussac Saint-Emilion, Puisseguin Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru”, says Frédéric Breysse, the Saint-Emilion Wine Trip sommelier.

THE MOSAIC OF THE SAINT-EMILION WINES

A total of 16 Saint-Emilion wines were presented to the visitors of the fair. Each represents a facet of the mosaic of the Saint-Emilion terroirs. “We have fruity wines, charming wines or powerful wines, more tannic with more body”, explains Frédéric Breysse. On the Truck, visitors were able to choose their wine and learn about wine tasting. The only keywords were: conviviality and relaxation.

“The idea is to show the varied tasting palette of the Saint-Emilion wines. We asked people what their tastes are, what wines they are used to drinking and we guide their choices, either to discover the wines, offer or keep them”. Visitors were also able to ask questions about the history of the Saint-Emilion appellations. Wines made with a millenary know-how, but also drinkable with simplicity.
