The Bordeaux Aquitaine Sommelier Association in Saint-Emilion
On Monday 10th January, the Bordeaux Aquitaine Sommelier Association came to Saint-Emilion. During one morning, they tasted nearly 50 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2019.
The sommeliers of Bordeaux Aquitaine have got into the habit of getting together with the wine unions to discover new wines. On 10 January, the wines of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, 2019 vintage, were presented in the magnificent setting of the Salle des Dominicains, in the heart of Saint-Emilion.
During the morning, nearly 40 sommeliers, accompanied by wine waiting students, were able to taste 45 wines. It was a moment of exchange and conviviality.
At the end of this tasting, the sommeliers present were able to make direct contact with the winegrowers. Indeed, the objective of these events is to discover new wines in order to integrate them on the menus of their establishments.
