Located on one of the two highest points of Saint-Emilion, Château Destieux, a single property, dominates the Dordogne valley.
For nearly 50 years, Château Destieux has belonged to the Dauriac family, who have passionately maintained the constant progress of this vineyard, with a single ambition: to do everything possible in the vineyard as well as in the cellar to produce each year a concentrated wine, both elegant and full-bodied, the aristocratic expression of a privileged terroir. Château Destieux was promoted to Grand Cru Classé of St Emilion in 2006.

Deep, dark garnet color. Floral notes, dense and juicy fruit. Powerful and silky texture, black fruit aromas mingle with spicy nuances. The wine unfolds in the middle of the mouth. The tannins are of great finesse and reveal themselves in the finish. This 2019 Destieux, rich and delicate, hints at a great wine in the making.
It will perfectly be paired with white grilled meats.
Chateau Destieux is located on the second highest geographical point of the St Emilion appellation, enjoying an exceptional “point de vue” (point of view) on the vineyards and the Dordogne Valley, hence the contraction “Des Yeux” (eyes) into Destieux.
